Adjunct Instructor – Agriculture Mechanics:

The Agriculture Department at Santa Rosa Junior College is currently seeking applications for an adjunct instructor to teach our Agriculture Mechanics (AGMEC 50) class focused on tractors for Fall 2021.  The class is designed to provide students with an introduction to the safe use of tractors for farm operations.

Key topics include:

·      selecting the appropriate machine for the job;

·      pre-operation inspections;

·      basic tractor maintenance operations;

·      introduction to common farming implements;

·      and hands on training and evaluation of tractor operation skills with a focus on safety.

 

Ideal candidates will have extensive tractor operation and maintenance skills and be comfortable with both classroom and hands on approaches to instruction.

The Fall 2021 AGMEC 50 class is scheduled to occur from 9am – 3pm on Fridays, August 20 – December 10.
