Fresno Farm Box – CSA Coordinator

Fresno Farm Box represents the germination of an idea seeded in fall 2020 by 3 Black farmers in Fresno who already grow food in Fresno, but wanted to see more of it stay within their community. With COVID19 continuing to hit communities of color and the poor the hardest, it is critical now more than ever that all communities have access to fresh, affordable and culturally appropriate food because it literally has the power to save lives. The Fresno Farm Box program is a 17-week Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) pilot program that allows local residents in Fresno to obtain fresh food directly from Black farmers through a contactless pickup of a weekly box of fruits and vegetables. Thanks to a generous grant from the Sierra Health Foundation, the Fresno Farm Box program is now able to hire a CSA Coordinator to help roll out and execute the program.
