Organic worker-owned production farm

About the Farm:

Flying V Farm is a certified organic farm in Placerville, CA, located at 2,000 feet in the Sierra Nevada Foothills. We are nestled between the American and Cosumnes Rivers with hot summers and chilly, icy winters. We intensively farm 3 acres of annual vegetables and flowers and tend 6 acres of perennial fruits with a new 1.5 acre orchard being planted in 2021. Through farming we intend to build soil, protect native species, and maintain a certain wild quality to the 60 acres we lease.

Our markets include an onsite farm stand, regional Co-op grocery stores, the Tahoe Food Hub, and other independent groceries and restaurants.

We currently have two owners and one assistant manager. Our business is structured as a worker-cooperative which means there are pathways for workers to become owners if it’s the right fit. We are happy to talk more about this in the interview.
