Basalt Mountain Gardens is owned by Robb and Ginger Janssen.  BMG is a agritourism 70 ace off the grid high altitude homestead that provides yurts for short term stays, gives homestead and tropical greenhouse tours, creates medicinal products, provides herbal products & vegetables for guests and farmers markets, consults on greenhouses, homestead-land design, and edible landscaping.

This Spring-Summer of 2021 we will be creating a new development of a irrigation pipeline to a hayfield & gardens, construction of 2 hoophouses for vegetable, flower, and medicinal plants, possible construction of a barn for medicinal production, and fire retention pond.



BMG is offering a unique opportunity to the right person  interested in joining and learning about a start-up farm experience.  This position is FT and run from April to November, hours 30-50ish hrs per week.

Working together and under the leadership will be involved in most aspects of our operation.  Responsibilities consist of participation in and some ownership of the activities which include but are not limited to: irrigation install, construction, trail building, weeding, watering, seeding, bed prep, transplanting, greenhouse operations, cultivation, farmers markets, harvesting, medicinal herb production including drying & packaging, and yurt changeover cleanings all in a organic, veganic permaculture, homeodynamic method.

valid drivers license and have a 4 wheel drive vehicle

possible housing and pay DOE

farm experience would be a preferred skill set, we are willing to train the right candidate.

must love dogs (we have 5 dogs, 2 cats, and about a dozen chickens on site)
