Prevedelli Farm is a fourth-generation certified organic family run farm that has been operating in Watsonville since 1945, for over 75 years. The farm was originally established on Old San Jose Road in Soquel in the 1920s. It was started by Arturo Prevedelli, who emigrated from Italy in the early 1900s. A true family-run farm. The entire family works on the farm, whether it’s planting, harvesting, or selling at the farmer’s market: everybody is involved.
All of the Prevedelli Farms’ fruit and vegetables are certified organically locally grown. Over 40 varieties of apples, 7 different types pears, and 5 types of berries are picked by hand at peak ripeness for full flavor. Berries are available in late spring and summer. Apples are harvested from July through November. The large variety of apples grown enables the Prevedelli Farms to keep up with the apple harvest, as they ripen at different times.
