Farm to Market
CAFF’s Redwood Coast region provides growers and buyers with assistance in sales and marketing, supports farm to institution programs and helps CSAs increase and retain members.

Farm to School
CAFF’s Redwood Coast region increases knowledge of and access to fresh, healthy, locally-grown food in school cafeterias through assisting food service authorities with local procurement and marketing, supporting Harvest of the Month in the classroom, and providing educational programs directly to students.

Program Highlights
  • CAFF’s Know Your Farmer Program allows 800-900 students to visit local farms.
  • CAFF has established work site CSA programs and also also helps to increase EBT access and use at farmers markets, CSAs, and farm stands.
  • CAFF provides Farm to Cafeteria support to institutions,  procuring over $20,000 of local produce each year. CAFF has also helped 10 school districts purchase over $15,000 of locally grown produce and grass fed beef each year from 8 farms.
  • HOTM reaches over 6,000 students per month with produce sourced from local farms.
