CAFF Welcomes New Board MembersCAFF's board of directors officers for the 2001-2002 term are:
Judith Redmond, President Terry Harrison, Vice-President Kevin McEnnis, Secretary Poppy Davis CPA, Treasurer.
CAFF is pleased to announce the election and re-election of several new board members.
Joining CAFF's board of directors are:
Norman Kline a fourth generation farmer operating a family farm in northeast Modesto. He learned to farm working side by side with his father and grandfather. Norman farms 200 acres of cling peaches, 60 acres of almonds and 20 acres of apples. Norman is the San Joaquin Valley chapter representative to the board. Pete Price the owner of Price Consulting, Sacramento, a lobbying and consulting firm specializing in environmental, natural resources and sustainable agriculture issues. Pete represents the California League of Conservation Voters, Natural Resource Defense Council, the California Sustainable Agriculture Working Group and CAFF. Pete is an at-large member of the board. Judith Redmond is a partner in Full Belly Farm a 200-acre diversified farm in the Capay Valley in Yolo County. Judith has a long association with CAFF serving as executive director from 1990 to 1996 and again from 1998 through 1999. Judith was a member of CalFed's Bay Delta Advisory Council. She has published numerous research and policy papers. Judith is an at-large board appointee. Dave Runsten is associate director of the North American Integration and Development Center at UCLA. An agricultural economist, Dave conducts research on rural development and organic farming in Mexico; immigration, rural economic development, food processing, and the fruit and vegetable industries in California; living wage issues in Los Angeles; and with the LA Alliance for a New Economy. Dave is an at-large board appointee. Pia Sevelius is co-owner of GunHill Farms in Chico, California and Stensgol Ostergarden in Eksjo, Sweden. She is a board member of the Butte-Sutter Area Groundwater Users Corporation and League of Women Voters in Butte County. She is a member of the Butte Basin Water Users Association and Integrated Storage Investigation Stakeholder Group. Pia is a graduate of the California Agricultural Leadership Program, Class XXIX. She is an at-large board member. Terry Harrison was re-elected to the CAFF board for a second two-year term. Terry is a co-owner of Sonoma Antique Apple Nursery and farms chestnuts, apples and flower seeds. He is a retired professional engineer and a former board member of the California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF). Terry is an at-large board member. |
