Local Restaurants Buy Fresh, Buy Local CAFF is launching innovative local dinners with restaurant partners that promote the local farms that supply the menu items. Local Options Directory Check out Humboldt’s Local Food Guide within the pages of the Independent Business Alliance’s Local Options Directory. View the Local Food Guide online. The guide is a complete listing of over 150 local farmers, their products, and how to access them. It includes information on Community Supported Agriculture farms, U Pick and Farm Stand sites, farmers’ market schedules, local vintners and more.
Humboldt Policy Update Humboldt’s General Plan is in the long process of being updated and we’re rallying community members to become involved. We’ve been able to bring all the farmers’ market associations together in a common position statement on the County General Plan update.

Current ProjectsOur efforts are organized under innovative programs that include: Farm-to-SchoolNutrition education for the youth of Humboldt County: Farm fieldtrips, farmers’ market fieldtrips, farmer-in-the-classroom visits, school garden activities and teacher trainings. Community Food System EducationEducation and promotion that keeps local family farming in the forefront including: farm tours, the Humboldt County Farm to Table Calendar, community forums, and local food month activities. Agricultural Market DevelopmentOur efforts bridge the existing gap between producers and institutions, creating new, lucrative marketing opportunities for area farmers.
